Mechanism of action.

VARDENAFIL is used for treating acratia (impotence) and is is sold under the brand name Levitra. It is closely similar in function to Viagra and Cialis. Vardenafil's effective time is longer in comparison with sildenafil's.

Your physician should be aware if you have the the following conditions:

Dosage.

Drug interactions.

Using the following drugs may make the risk of life-threatening side effects bigger.

• nitroglycerin-type drugs for the heart or chest pain and also angor pectoris such as amyl nitrite, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, nitroglycerin, even though they are only taken once in a while. Here belong certain recreational drugs called 'poppers' which also contain amyl nitrate and butyl nitrate.

• alpha blockers such as alfuzosin (UroXatral®), doxazosin (Cardura®), prazosin (Minipress®), tamsulosin (Flomax®), or terazosin (Hytrin®), used to treat unstable blood pressure or prostatic hyperplasia.

• verapamil

• bosentan

• some antibiotics such as clarithromycin, erythromycin, sparfloxacin, troleandomycin

• some drugs used for strokes such as carbamazepine, phenytoin, and phenobarbital

• some drugs for the treatment of HIV infection or AIDS

• some drugs to control the heart rate (e.g., amiodarone, disopyramide, dofetilide, flecainide, ibutilide, quinidine, procainamide, propafenone, sotalol)

• chloroquine

• cisapride

• diltiazem

• grapefruit juice

• medicines for fungal infections (fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, voriconazole)

• some medicines for treating doldrum or heaviness (amoxapine, maprotiline, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, nefazodone, pimozide, phenothiazines, tricyclic antidepressants)

• methadone

• nicardipine

• pentamidine

• pimozide

• rifabutin, rifampin, or rifapentine

• arsenic trioxide

This citation of drugs does not include all apt interactions. Make your physician aware of all the preparations, non-prescription drugs, herbs or fat burners you take. Also let him know whether you smoke, growler-rashing, or take forbidden drugs. Some of them increase possibility of side effects.

Possible negative health outcome.

• nasal congestion

• flushing

• headache

• dyspepsia

• diarrhea

The symptom usually disappears within 48 hours.
